The John Muir Tail
The John Muir Trail is a long distance trail through the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. It passes through 3 national parks and highlights high mountain peaks, alpine lakes and streams, and lush mountain meadows.
The trail is roughly 211 miles long, has a norther terminus in Yosemite National Park and a southern terminus on the summit of Mount Whitney at 14,505 feet in elevation.
It’s considered one of the most beautiful hike in the United States. You can learn more about the trail at the Hiking Project.
